On March 3, 2017, 239 representatives of business were brought together in Park Hotel „Latgola”. Out of them, more than 100 were entrepreneurs from Latvia; more than 50 representatives from ministries, embassies, chambers of trade and commerce, development agencies, consulates, the Saeima of Latvia, other SEZ and various foreign missions in Latvia; more than 50 international representatives from 9 countries and other parties interested in business opportunities in Daugavpils and Latgale Special Economic Zone.

Daugavpils City Municipality Tourism Development and Information Agency has compiled data on the number of visitors to the Daugavpils tourist sites between the May 1st and September 30th, 2016 and revealed that the total number of visitors was 231 478 which is by 5 465 visitors or 2, 4% more that in the same period of 2015.
