Daugavpils City Municipality Tourism Development and Information Agency has compiled data on the number of visitors in Daugavpils tourist attractions for the tourism season 2017. The analysis of the data revealed that the total number of visitors to Daugavpils tourist attractions, cultural and recreational establishments was 508 477 together. The total number of visitors to the Daugavpils tourist attractions was 257 661. The greatest number of the tourist flow was identified in the 3rd quarter of 2017, June and July, traditionally, were the most visited months.

The Conference in Bucharest was organized by the European Academy Association and the Ilfov County Council, within the framework of the project “EU City Digital Strategies for Immigrants’ Integration (EUCIDIN)”. The project was submitted within the programme Europe for Citizens with two important activities, “Democratic engagement & civic participation - getting citizens involved”, and “Networks of towns”, both aiming to encourage the cooperation with other townships and Civil Society Organizations (e.g. NGOs), on a long‑term basis of experience and knowledge sharing.

Daugavpils City Council in cooperation with Vanersborg municipality (Vänersborgs kommun) in Sweden (lead partner) implements project WIR within the framework of European Union Programme “Europe for Citizens”, 2nd activity “Democratic engagement and civic participation”. The project involves 10 partners from 7 countries – Sweden, Italy, Austria, Germany, Finland and Latvia.
