  Daugavpils Polish Culture center was established at the initiative of Polish cities in 1997 with the support of Daugavpils City Council. PCC is an institution, which popularizes Polish language, culture, history, and the Polish national heritage in Latvia.

The main function of the center Polish Culture is the study, preservation and promotion of Polish national and folk traditions in Latgale, and in Latvia. Implementation of valuable cultural and educational projects creates this cultural center, an ideal meeting place, accessible to all age groups of Poles.

The Centre's activities are mainly focused on the organization of cultural events, mainly participated by pre-school children, schoolchildren, students and adults. Staff of creative employees provides extensive development of interests, improving creativity, capacity building of young talent, giving them the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills necessary for active participation in the social and cultural life.

Centre is actively cooperating with physical persons and organizations working in the field of education, science and culture in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Belarus and Ukraine.
