In the very Height of the Summer, 7th of July 16:00 at Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Center new summer exhibition season showing the local and international art projects will be opened.
Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Center traditionally during summer exhibition season continues to set measure to show it’s visitors local and foreign artistic projects. The new exhibition season will surprise with the variety of media - exhibiting paintings, graphic art, glass art and photography projects together.
From 7th of July in Rothko Center the outstanding Israel artist Moshe Kupferman retrospective will be seen, highlighting the artist's style and persistence as abstract painting and graphics master's contribution to Israel's cultural space.
Two Latvian photography projects - Andris Zēgners "In the Light" and Iveta Vaivode "Sword Lilies" are the stories of topical in Latvian photography at present and differences in authors works.
Stable and internationally approbated Marta Ģibiete`s glass art project application, updating the artist's virtuosity and creative flight in a transparent and fragile material.
Graphics media updating essential outstanding graphics masters Maija Dragūne`s performance, setting the graphics process and the importance of continuity in the development of art in general.
As the spark and possible agiotage around us ongoing is realized in Artūrs Bērziņš solo exhibition "Feeder", through paintings and installations telling about today allegories and directness.
Summer season exhibition available for visitors until the 10th of September.
On 7th of July from 16:00 till 17:00 all new exhibitions able to view for free.
The event is supported by the Daugavpils City Council, State Culture Capital Foundation, Valmiermuiža, Caparol, Devona, Embassy of Israel.
