On the 25th ofOctoberDaugavpilsCity Council Chairperson Žanna Kulakova greeted the students ofDaugavpils Construction school in order to thank them for the achievements in international competition.
It was a contest of "Euroskills 2012." The competition was participated by over 500 people from 23 countries.ConstructionSchool's pupils Sergei Lukjanskis and Eugene Giržda won fifth place, behindSwitzerland,France,HollandandGermany. The competition is a kind of Olympics of skills, which requires very high-quality training. The school principal Inara Ostrovska expressed great pride about student achievement, as preparation for the contest usually lasts several years, and in possession of Daugavpils was only a few months. Students were prepared for the competition by Aleksandrs Boginskis, who teaches technology of dry construction and stone works.
Žanna Kulakova thanked the young people and the school administration for their achievements, which are significant for the city, because they not only popularize the name of the city, but also of building profession and that achievement of this kind is the best example for other young men to choose such popular profession and aim for new goals.
Žanna Kulakova dedicated words of recognition to principal Inara Ostrovska, who chose the rapid development of the school, which is possible thanks to the participation in various projects. Already now the school is the leading in the region and it is definitely not the limit.
Žanna Kulakova again expressed gratitude to all and wished achievements in studies, realization of intended and new victories.
