Daugavpils City Council’s management had a meeting with a delegation from Panevezys

Panevezys (Lithuania) - the twin city of Daugavpils, who joined the program "Border sports exchanges - football unites us" with Daugavpils. This visit is another stage of the project. Coaches from Panevezys Football Academy and representatives of government came as well. Visitors were welcomed in City Council by Chairperson Žanna Kulakova and Vice-Chairman Vjačeslavs Širjakovs.

Daugavpils City Council provides governmental scholarships to the students of Daugavpils University

On the 18^th of October at a meeting of the committee of education and culture considered the issue of assignment of the next government scholarship to students of Daugavpils University. Council has allocated 180 lats for 6 months to 10 students.

Russian city Vladimir is offering Daugavpils collaboration

Daugavpils was visited by the workers of Russian city Vladimir’s government, who arrived at a festive opening of new Russian House. On the 16^th of October Daugavpils City Council Vice-Chairman Vitālijs Azarevičs greeted the guests.

The impressions of the Saeima Sports subcommittee of Culture, Education and Science committee about Daugavpils are only positive.

Subcommittee was working in Daugavpils on the 15^th of October. There was a meeting with Daugavpils City Council Chairperson Žanna Kulakova. Members of subcommittee were offered to meet the infrastructure of sport in Daugavpils – subcommittee attended Daugavpils Ice Hall, Sport boarding-school, Chess and Checkers club, “Lokomotive” stadium. After the lunch the subcommittee had a visiting meeting.
